Our vision of the future has always been simple: to reduce preventable blindness and improve health of populations worldwide. This commitment stems from our experiences providing eye care to blind children in developing countries, where we discovered the profound impact of accessible vision care. We believe that real transformation in healthcare will come when future generations view their care as seamlessly integrated, blending virtual and in-person support without distinction. By reimagining how we approach eye care, we can create lasting change for those in need.
Blindness from Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) is widespread in regions lacking access to adequate eye care. A critical gap has existed in the availability of technology to prevent this unnecessary blindness. Recognizing this, our founders, Dr. Paul Chan and Dr. Pete Campbell, set out to change the landscape of eye care by developing innovative, low-cost equipment and software solutions that could reach underserved communities worldwide. Driven by the belief that no child should lose their sight to a preventable disease, they aimed to transform the global healthcare system. Today, their vision has become a reality, with our groundbreaking products and technology improving eye care access for people of all ages, making a lasting difference in communities around the globe.
